The gouramies are freshwater fish. The fish are native to Asia, from Pakistan and India to the malay archipelogo and northeasterly towards Korea. Many gouramies have an elongated ray at the front of their pelvic fins.  Dwarf gouramies are the smallest gouramies and they grow to be about 1''. Their good for community tanks.
